Tim Kraus

Tim is an educator, media producer, and founding member of Media Working Group. Since 1993 he has designed, coordinated and presented media arts residencies and professional development for teachers in more than five Ohio school districts, community centers, prisons, and the Cincinnati AFL-CIO Labor Council. He has served as adjunct faculty for the University of Rio Grande Masters in Education Program teaching Cross Curricular Media Production and Educational Technology for Teachers at the Mt. St. Joseph University College of Education. In 2012, he retired from Cincinnati Public Schools where he taught high school History and Technology classes.

In recent years he has been working on cross cultural and religious exchanges in Cuba where he is building ongoing collaborations with the Cuban film and media production community. He is also in production on a film about civil rights activist, the Rev. Maurice F. McCrackin. Tim is also currently mentoring students at Hughes STEM High School to produce segments for the PBS News Hour Student Reporting Labs.
