Seed Man is first project funded by our Change 21C Documentary Fund. Shane Teubert has been commissioned to produce a short documentary about how one farmer made a transition from growing tobacco to creating a seed business based on soil conservation principles.
This film features John Seymour and his father Randy Seymour whom navigates their way to from the monoculture of tobacco to restoring the health of the land’s soil by practicing conservation utilizing native grasses. Their efforts result in the booming business of developing native seeds for farms around the country.
This is a Media Working Group group effort film based on footage shot by Fred Johnson and Jean Donohue. for their film Coming to Ground.
